1. What we collect
When you request a gap analysis, subscribe to our newsletter, or contact us, we collect the information you provide directly: your name, email address, immigration status, professional background, and any documents or details you choose to share about your case.
2. How we use it
- To evaluate your profile and provide a gap analysis or documentation support
- To pair you with an appropriate mentor
- To communicate with you about your engagement, including scheduling and follow-ups
- To send newsletter content, if you've opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time
- To improve our AI-driven analysis models, using de-identified data only
3. What we don't do
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not share your case details with immigration authorities, employers, or any party outside our direct team and mentors without your explicit consent.
4. Data storage & security
Your information is stored on encrypted, access-controlled systems. Only team members and mentors directly working on your case can access your documents. We retain records for as long as needed to support your engagement and applicable legal requirements, after which they're securely deleted upon request.
5. Cookies & analytics
We use minimal, privacy-respecting analytics to understand site usage and improve our content. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.
6. Your rights
You may request a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or request deletion at any time by emailing privacy@meritiq.ai.
7. Not legal advice
MERIT IQ is not a law firm. Nothing in this policy or on this site constitutes legal advice, and no attorney-client relationship is formed through your use of our services.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "last updated" date.
